The Traditional Dress of Villanovaforru

Villanovaforru, known in Sardinian as Biddanoa 'e Forru, is a village in the Marmilla, in the province of Medio Campidano, nestled among the hills approximately fifty kilometres from Cagliari. The village is known for the Nuraghe Genna Maria, an important Bronze Age nuragic complex with a permanent museum, and for its devotion to Santa Marina, celebrated with processions in traditional dress.

Women’s dress
