Sardinia preserves a living cultural heritage expressed throughout the year through hundreds of events. From Sa Sartiglia in Oristano and the carnivals of Mamoiada, to the Sagra del Redentore in Nuoro in summer, and the stages of Autunno in Barbagia from September to November: every month is a chance to admire the precious traditional Sardinian dress, listen to cantu a tenore and discover the authentic character of the island’s villages. Choose a month to explore all the traditional events, patron saint feasts and folk festivals scheduled for 2026.
Autunno in Barbagia – Cortes Apertas is the most anticipated circuit of the year: from September to November, Barbagia’s villages open their historic courtyards to visitors, with local food tastings, traditional crafts, cantu a tenore and traditional Sardinian dress parades.
Gastronomic festivals dot the entire calendar: from Cabras bottarga to mountain cheeses, every village celebrates its local produce by blending gastronomy with folk tradition.
